Premier Establishment, more than just recreation
In its short history, Taylor Sportsplex has established itself in both large and small events including trade shows, craft and home shows, sporting events, and large ceremonies. TSX has state-of-the-art exhibition space and talented staff that combined can accommodate the needs of many different groups. Clients, visitors, and colleagues will be well impressed with the two indoor arenas, each with over 22,000 square feet of floor space, a spacious lobby and six meeting rooms on the mezzanine level all with high speed Internet access. TSX offers a variety of additional services to accomodate your event including catering services. Some of the recent successes include the Professional Bowlers' Association World Championships, high school graduations seating over 2,200, regional and state hockey tournaments, the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan's Downriver Home Improvement Show, and regional trade shows. Not to mention the TORHS Tournament that was held in July, with over 185 visiting teams from around the country!
Since opening in the fall of 2001, the versatility of TSX has proven to be more than just a recreational sports complex. Today TSX draws some of the nation's elite athletes in singles and pairs figure skating. Its highly diverse and qualified coaching staff not only draws skaters from the entire metro Detroit area, but from around the country as well. The success of our program has prompted the birth of a United States Figure Skating (USFS) Club. TSX is soon to be the home of the TSX Skating Academy , or as insiders refer to it, TSXSA . The board members of TSXSA are working closely to finalize its membership status with USFS. Once this process is complete, skaters at TSX can compete in local, national and international competitions. |
