Trio Lumber Company has been open for over 65 years, originally it was opened by the Prunty family in 1977.
Jim Savage Sr. started his career as a carpenter and used to purchase building materials from Trio Lumber. The Savage family lived locally so when Trio came up for sale they purchased the business and it has been family-owned and operated ever since. They take special pride in serving both, contractors and do-it-yourselfers.
Taking Pride in Service
Trio has experienced workers, "All the employees have been working here for years," says Mark Savage. Savage also states, "Our experienced dedicated staff is ready to assist you on your next building project - everything from installing new moldings to new doors and windows; from additions to complete home building."

Trio Lumber Company has a beautiful new 3,200 sq. ft. showroom located three blocks west of the main store.
Inside you will find that Trio Lumber carries a wide selection of steel, fiberglass and wood exterior doors. Door styles range from Traditional, contemporary and Modern in different species. The doors can be found in Oak, Mahogany, poplar and even cherry. A distinctive collection of interior and exterior doors in great designs can be found at our new location. Trio offers custom sizes and designs that can be made to fit your needs. An on-site mill to customize and finish doors that will create a grand entryway into an individualized trademark.

An active supporter of our community...
Savage says "We feel such a part of the downriver community and one of the ways we give back is by sponsoring local youth recreational teams." Many of the sponsored groups are proudly displayed on the wall of the main store. Trio Lumber Company also supports the Junior League World series, played right here in Taylor.
