Pia's Ristorante Italiano

Celebrating in Taylor's History

Pia's Pizzeria Restaurant opened April of 1955 in Taylor Township. Pia's was the first pizzeria in the community and continues to be located at its original location on Ecorse Road. Pia's began as a carryout pizzeria, but over the last 50 years it has expanded to the fine dining establishment that it is today.

Today, Pia's is still family owned and operated specializing in pizza, homemade pastas and hearty Italian dishes. All of the pastas, dressings and sauces are prepared with the freshest and finest ingredients. It's no wonder it is among Downriver's best known restaurants.

Making Memories

Pia's has taken many folks down memory lane.

"There are numerous old timers that tell us this was the place for their first date," says Dina Pecci. "We are still remodeling and want to stay up-to-date and inspire new patrons to share special occasions with us to make memories of their own.

The new look ...

The outside building updates are almost complete. Once the outside is complete, it will undergo updates to the lounge and dining area.

"My dad always said he wanted the bar area to stay the same,” says Pecci, “with the circular design, giving everyone a chance to interact in an open area."

Mr. Pecci came from Italy in the 1950's and spoke no English. He worked hard his entire life to give his family the best life he could. As a longtime businessman he helped others get started in their own businesses.

Mr. Pecci will be remembered as a kind, generous man with a great smile who deeply cared for family and community. Mr. Pecci's wife of 45 years, Josephine, and their children, Luigi, Dina, Paolo and Mary continue his legacy.

Relax and let Pia's do the cooking for you.

Whether you have a family or work gathering, Pia's can accommodate large groups of people -- whether it is just for pizza, or a more specialized party. Some of the special occasions are bridal or baby showers, birthdays, business luncheons, funeral luncheons, and more. On behalf of Pia's, Dina Pecci has this to say to Pia’s customers: "We appreciate your business and are thrilled to carry on our legacy."

Focustaylor.com sincerely thanks Pia's Italiano Ristorante for their support. Visit their web page for full menu and services.
