Your one-stop landscape shop
Panetta’s Landscape Supply began over 26 years ago as a lawn maintenance and landscape-contracting firm. Over ten years ago they concentrated all their efforts into the retail and wholesale distribution of landscape supplies.
Established in 1980, Panetta’s moved to Westland in 1989, and then opened in 2008 in Taylor.

Great time for feeding and planting
The Panetta’s are looking forward to Fall and being part of the upcoming development in the community. Take advantage of the cooler weather as the leaves are turning colors and falling off the trees, and the air is brisk. Many homeowners think it’s too late for landscaping, but, actually Fall is the perfect time to prepare for next year’s planting. You will want your yard looking its best even during the winter months, and flourishing in the Spring.
Tips you can use this Fall
The Panetta family offers these great Fall tips to a great landscape around your home:
Grass should be maintained to approximately 2.5 inches high during the Fall and Winter months. Mow only after it the lawn has grown enough to mow the top 1/3 of the blades.
Watering the grass should still be done, but this can be cut back significantly. Make sure to aerate and fertilize the lawn, and weed whenever necessary to maintain a crisp, clean-looking lawn throughout the Fall and Winter.
If you are thinking of doing some rearranging, or adding to your landscape, Fall is the perfect time to do it. Move trees or bushes early in the Fall so that the roots can reestablish themselves in the new plot in time to flourish in the spring. Pruning should also be done in the Fall to make sure your trees and shrubs are well trimmed and shaped.
It is true that you will likely spend less time in the yard on your landscape, but it should not be ignored completely. Maintaining a yard and adhering to some of these simple tips will ensure a healthy yard and beautiful flowers come springtime.
