The Taylortown School of Beauty originated in September of 1975 and owner Cindy Stramecky has continuously worked to improve the school in an effort to present to the beauty field better cosmetology and gain respect in the community.

Taylortown School of Beauty is open to the public. Clients can count on exceptional service and value by supervised students. Beauty services can be provided for Men, Women and Children. Taylortown School of Beauty services include; Haircut, Shampoo & Set, Conditioning Treatment, Tint, Color, Bleach, Frost, Permanent, Facial, Waxing, Make up application, Manicure, and Pedicure. Stramecky provides all eligible, enrolled students with the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare them for the State Examination, and to meet the demands of the current job market.

Cindy Stramecky has been actively engaged in the Cosmetology profession for over the past thirty years. She is a former member of Styles Body of Michigan Cosmetology Association, Inc. (also known as R.A.C.). She is past president of M.C.S.A., and past chairperson of the Michigan State Board of Cosmetology. Stramecky maintains an electrolysis license and has a Certificate of Training Competency Based Evaluation. She has, and continues to, work to better the school and intends to continuously improve in for the future.


Students and Staff

During the course of choice, Taylortown School of Beauty presents students with the training equipment, counseling, instruction, and environment that will make it possible to achieve the goal of a graduation certificate in Cosmetology, Manicuring, or Instructor Training.

“I enjoy helping people who don’t know how to make a living, or those who simply want to change their career path,” Stramecky says. “[Changing careers] into a fun profession where you can make money and have fun with it.” She said that in all her years, that is the part she never wanted to give up, having an enjoyable career where she meets a lot of nice people.

“Through the years,” she says “the clients and students have really enriched my life.”

A new home

“I am thrilled with the new location,” she says visibly excited. “We now have a complete state-of-the-art salon and training facility.”

The school was relocated in 2006, just a few steps away at the Taylortown Shopping Center on Ecorse and Pardee Roads. The facility offers spacious class and training areas, modern training equipment, individual lockers, and all the comforts and conveniences that make up a pleasant learning environment. The curriculum and training plan is a coordinated program enhanced through regular staff meetings and continued education. Training procedures are continually updated. All new scientific and trend developments are quickly incorporated in the curriculum.
